Assistant Manager : Power Grid Corporation of India

2017-2019

I worked as a Substation Automation Engineer in Asia's largest transmission utility Powergrid Corporation of India Ltd for a period of almost two years. My role was to test and validate protection systems in the 765/400 kV Solapur substation. Formulated improved checklist for testing of protection equipments. Modeled system to ascertain the improved stability using PSCAD. Member of the specialized team for Hot commissioning of STATCOM in India. I suggested design challenges to reduce circulating currents in Mechanically Switched Reactor saving significant material loss. Also part of commissioning team for 765/400 kV New Parli and 220kV Mapusa. Successfully executed 4 commissioning projects over the span of two years.

Cornell Spring'20

I joined as a design engineer in the TATA group in 2015. I worked there for over two years and executed more than 7 projects form pre bidding to complete execution. Part of the team to initiate transmission and Distribution project in New Delhi office. I lead a team of three to secure five International projects from Saudi-Aramco. My work included Cable sizing ,Sag tension calcultions, earthmat sizing, General arrangement layouts, Structural layouts, transformer sizing etc. Successfully completed three Air insulated and two Gas insulated sustations ranging from 765kV to 33kV.

Teaching Assistant ECE: 3100 Introduction to Probability

Cornell 2019-20

I'm a graduate teaching assitant for the course ECE: 3100 which is an introductory course in probability. I conduct office hours and occasional recitation sessions. Probabilty is one the basic elements of Machine Learning and this course allows me to brush my fundamentals.
